Three elderly people from Yarmouk camp die of the regime’s gunshots near Al-Orouba checkpoint

The Action Group received reports that three Palestinian refugees from Yarmouk camp died, after being shot by members of the regime’s army, while they were gathered with dozens of civilians at the Orouba checkpoint, piding between Yarmouk camp and the town of Yelda.

According to the reports, the victims were three elderly residents of Yarmouk camp: Sami Hussien Khartabeel, Mohammed Abd El-Aziz and Elyas Hanna Al-Ashqar. They were immediately shot dead and buried in a cemetery in the neighboring town of Yelda.

Activists confirmed to the Action Group that members of the Syrian regime fired at a gathering of civilians who had fled from Yarmouk camp towards Yelda, where three civilians were subsequently killed and the remainder were allowed into the town.
