The regime intensifies its air raids and bombardment of Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad

The warplanes intensified their air raids on Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad yesterday, causing more destruction to the area.

The Action Group’s correspondent stated that the Syrian air force launched dozens of raids overnight on Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad. This coincided with the outbreak of violent clashes between the regime and the Palestinian factions affiliated to it, and ISIS, noting that the events taking place are a street war, especially in the vicinity of Al-Hajar Al-Aswad municipality south of Damascus.

On its part, media sources announced that the regime progressed in several fighting axes, where it imposed its control on a number of building blocks including, UNRWA’s school, the Popular Labor Office in the south-west of Yarmouk camp, and the Center for Educational Development in the north of Al-Hajar Al-Aswad.

On its part, Liwaa Al-Quds mourned the death of 9 of its members on its social media pages, who died in an ambush set up by ISIS, on one of the combat hubs in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad neighborhood, and destroyed a number of military mechanisms, while the regime's forces made it clear that it caused many casualties among ISIS.

While ISIS confirmed that 40 members of the regime died and a BMP vehicles was destroyed during the ongoing fighting with the Syrian regime’s forces, indicating that the number of members of the regime who died since the beginning of the military operation exceeded 800 people, and dozens of injuries.

The military operation, which the regime began on Yarmouk camp, Al-Hajar Al-Aswad and Al-Tadamon, has entered its 24th day and led to the destruction of 60% of Yarmouk camp. It has also led to the death of 19 civilians, some of which are still buried under the rubble, and the displacement of 90% of its residents to the towns neighboring to the camp.
