UNRWA spokesman, Chris Ganes, said in a statement that the scale of the destruction in Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees in Damascus, makes the return of its residents extremely difficult, adding that the rubble of the ruthless conflict is spread all over the area. He noted that Yarmouk camp is drowned in the destruction and that no house has been spared the destruction, adding that the public health system, water, electricity and basic services have all been severely damaged.
Ganes said that between 100-200 civilians are still living in Yarmouk, including elderly people and ill patients that could not escape.
