Civil and human rights calls to stop looting in Yarmouk camp

Civil society organizations and the Palestinian Popular Committees called upon the international organizations, human rights organizations and UNRWA to put pressure on the Syrian regime to stop the theft and looting of properties in Yarmouk camp.

The organizations considered in their statement that looting is an affront to the dignity of the Palestinian people, who have always demanded the neutralization of their camps from the explosive conflict in Syria.

The statement pointed out that the theft, or what is known as the phenomenon of "defamation," in the areas controlled by the regime, are not inpidual cases, but a systematic policy involving regime officers and loyalists.
