Palestinian delegations visit the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Yarmouk camp

The residents of the destroyed Yarmouk camp and Palestinian personalities and leaders, visited the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the camp, on the first day of Eid, as part of a custom carried out by the residents every year.

Among the participating delegations are the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, “Ahmed Jibril,” “Khaled Abd El-Majid,” the Secretary of the Alliance of Palestinian Resistance Forces and a delegation of the Palestinian People 's Party, Fath Al-Intefada and Al-Jihad.

The leaders of the Palestinian factions stressed the need to combine all efforts to restore the life cycle of Yarmouk camp through cleaning the streets, lifting the rubble and the return of the people, on the road to reconstruction.

They called on UNRWA and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to stand up to its responsibilities towards the Palestinians in Syria in the Palestinian camps and gatherings, especially in Yarmouk camp.

The two cemeteries in Yarmouk camp were damaged and destroyed as a result of the repetitive bombardments launched by the Syrian regime forces, using explosive barrels and rocket-propelled grenades.
