The Syrian regime’s army bombarded Deraa camp for Palestinian refugees and Al-Sad Road neighborhood in the south of Syria, with surface-to-surface “elephant” missiles and a number of mortar shells, resulting in more damage and destruction to the civilian houses and infrastructure of the camp. This coincided with the outbreak of clashes described as violent, between the opposition fighters and the regime forces, which is trying to proceed and impose its control over the area.
Many of the Palestinian families and the displaced from Deraa camp live in the city and the adjacent Sad Road neighborhood, and the refugees in south Syria are suffering from difficult living and security conditions.
