A so-called “First Forum for the Reconstruction of Yarmouk Camp” was held at the office of AlBaath Party in Yarmouk. Representatives of Syrian and Palestinian civil society were in attendance.
The meeting culminated in a consent to outline roadmaps and initiate the reconstruction process at the soonest time possible. The participants further drew attention to the urgent need to clear debris in the camp.
Over 80% of buildings in Yarmouk Camp have been either totally or partially destroyed in the warfare. 90% of homes have been subjected to burglary and looting.
