The Department of Education and Higher Education of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in Damascus announced the launch of Algerian scholarships for Palestinians from Syria.

Applicants are invited to sign up by Thursday, July 26.

The scholarships will be granted to students who seek to specialize in economics, commerce, and law and who earned a minimum of 65% in secondary school exams for the scientific branch. Holders of a commercial secondary school certificate who got an average of 85% are also entitled to apply.

Students wishing to join the engineering branch should have earned a minimum of 80% in secondary school exams in order to be able to apply. Only students who achieved 90% or above in secondary school exams are eligible to apply for a scholarship in human medicine.

Concerned applicants should hold academic transcripts duly authenticated by official authorities, a copy of the passport, eight photographs with a white background, and a clear criminal record certificate from official Syrian departments.
