A newly-released detainee said he had last met the Palestinian refugee Mahmoud Khalil Kamara in a Syrian government prison on July 14, 2015.
The ex-detainee said Kamara, a resident of Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Syria, was in a critical health condition.
Activists quoted the ex-detainee as stating that he had met a number of detainees, among them Kamara, whom he said had been held in the Palestine Branch before he was transferred to another dungeon and then to Sednaya penitentiary on March 27, 2015.
Several affidavits released by ex-detainees provided evidence on fatal torture in Syrian government jails, where 1,683 Palestinians have been incarcerated.
