The Palestine Embassy in Lebanon said cash allowances will be granted to Palestinians from Syria in Lebanon who seek to return to Syria.
Secretary of the Palestinian Popular Committees in Lebanon, Abu Iyad AlShaalan, said instructions were given by Palestine’s Ambassador in Lebanon to shell out sums of money worth $1,000 to ease the refugees’ access to Syria.
Several activists and refugees have been outraged by the decision of the PLO to arrange the return of Palestinian refugees in Gaza to Syria, dubbing the declared move a sign of the PLO’s indifference as regards the displaced Palestinian families who fled from war-ragged Syria.
