The Syrian authorities issued security permits to allow Yarmouk’s displaced students access into Damascus.
According to Yarmouk’s education chief Walid AlKurdi, the concerned authorities okayed the exit of high school students and those enrolled at Damascus Intermediate Institute in order to be able to pursue academic courses.
Palestinian residents of Yarmouk, Babilla, Yalda, and Beit Sahem, south of Damascus, are only allowed access to Damascus following a security check by the Syrian authorities.
