Palestinians Stranded in Antakya Launch Cry for Help

Palestinian refugees detained in the so-called Krit Gendarme Central detention center in the Turkish city of Antakya for nearly 30 days have slammed the Palestine Liberation Organization and Palestinian factions for turning their back on their ceaseless appeals for urgent intervention.

The detainees said the Palestine Embassy and Palestinian factions in Turkey pledged to broker their release with the Turkish authorities. But none of such promises has seen the day.

10 Palestinian refugees have been detained by the Turkish authorities at a so-called Krit Gendarme-Central detention center for the 28th consecutive day.

The list of detainees includes Jamil Khalil Emara, Ghufran Hamid, Ahmad Khaled Mohamed, Amal Hamid, eight-month-old Naya, Khaled Mahmoud AlKhatib, Ahmad Emad Mustafa and his wife and daughter, and Abdul Rahman Mahmoud.
