Five-year-old Palestinian child from Syria Khaled Nejmah drowned at sea after a Cyprus-bound boat carrying Palestinian and Syrian migrants tipped over off Akkar coast, north of Lebanon.
Lebanese news outlets said the vessel, carrying some 40 migrants, set sail from Akkar on way to Cyprus, before it capsized off the Lebanese seashore.
The list of injured passengers includes Palestinian girl Nivin, aged 24, along with Syrian nationals Hesham, 27, Nour, 22, and Hasan, 22.
Just one day earlier, another boat from Lebanon disembarked in Cyprus.
According to AGPS figures, 50 Palestinians from Syria were pronounced dead onboard the “death boats” to Europe.
