Khan Eshieh Residents Launch Cry for Help over Bread Dearth

Residents of Khan Eshieh Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, have appealed to the concerned authorities and development committee to work on supplying civilians with much-needed bread and increase bread and flour quantities allotted for AJalil Bakery.

The residents said the camp’s sole bakery—AlJaleel—has been operating just for a couple of hours daily, forcing civilians to walk for long distances to fetch bread loafs.

They called for reconstructing local bakeries, which have been severely damaged by violent onslaughts launched by the government forces over the past few years.

Survival for the majority of Palestinian families in war-stricken Syria has largely hinged on UNRWA aids.
