Residents of Khan Eshieh Camp, west of Rif Dimashq, have appealed to the concerned authorities to clear the mounds of trash piled up near AlAwaj Valley.
Civilians expressed concerns over a river flood owing to the accumulated trash and projected downpours.
Residents of the nearby AlKhawalda neighborhood said their homes will be severely damaged if a river flood rocks the area and trash is not removed from residential alleyways overseeing the river.
Civilians have also warned of the propagation of rodents, insects, and stints and its repercussions on their children’s health and the environment.
