The Palestinian embassy in Damascus honored on Sunday, March 3, a number of Palestinian and Syrian artists who have spoken up for the Palestinian cause. Palestine’s Ambassador and a number of artists and diplomats were in attendance.
Member of Fatah’s Central Committee Samir AlRefa’i, Palestine’s Ambassador Mahmoud AlKhalidi, and Director-General of the Political Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ambassador Anwar Abdul Hadi, handed over the Grand Star award for arts, science, and culture to Syrian actor Duraid Laham and film directors Najda Anzor and Basel AlKhatib. Actors Ayman Zaidan, Salma AlMesri, Abed Fahd, Shukran Murtaja, and Wafa Sultan received the Excellence and Glamour badge of honor.
