AGPS documented the death of 39 Palestinian refugees in Syria in May 2019, up from 32 in May 2018. 15 among the casualties died as a result of heavy torture in Syrian government jails.
The list also includes 10 Palestinians who died under shelling, seven who were extra-judicially executed, four refugees who died in blasts, and two others as a result of fatal shooting. Another Palestinian was gunned down by sniper fire.
Aleppo topped the list with 11 casualties, followed by Damascus with seven victims. Another three refugees died in Rif Dimashq and two in Hama. One Palestinian was pronounced dead in Daraa while 15 others died in unknown locations.
As for the victims of May 2018, 30 Palestinians died in Damascus, one in Daraa, and another in Idlib.
