AGPS kept record of the mysterious disappearance of 17 members of the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) since the outbreak of the Syrian warfare in 2011.
Several PLA affiliates have been kidnapped by the different warring parties at government-run checkpoints. Others were arrested inside military barracks.
A number of PLA gunmen had also been held captive by the opposition outfits, including by Jaysh AlIslam in Duma, in Eastern AlGhouta, before they were released as part of a prisoner swap deal struck with the Syrian government forces in Duma in order to liberate all the captives.
Over 270 PLA fighters have been pronounced dead since the outbreak of the deadly shootouts in Syria, according to AGPS data.
The Syrian government forces continue to drag Palestinian refugees to mandatory military conscription, forcing dozens to become internally displaced and dozens more to seek refuge in other countries.
