Road Connecting Palestinian Refugee Camps North of Syria Collapses

The road connecting Deir Ballout and AlMuhammadiya refugee camps, in northern Syria, has collapsed due to water floods from Efrin River and the poor infrastructure in the area.

Displaced Palestinian families taking refuge in the area have appealed to the Palestinian and international human rights institutions to take urgent steps in order to rehabilitate infrastructure and transfer families to safer shelters.

Hundreds of Palestinian and Syrian families who have been forcibly deported to northern Syria have been grappling with an abject humanitarian situation as most of them have been taking cover in underequipped and over-crowded tents where neither power nor water supplies are available.

High rates of unemployment and lack of relief assistance have made the situation far worse for the displaced families.
