In its newly-released report, AGPS documented the death of 45 Palestinian refugees during the first half of 2019, including 38 civilians and seven gunmen. The list also includes three women and eight children.
During the first half of 2019, 45 Palestinian refugees were pronounced dead, down from 166 during the first half of 2018.
At the same time, 24 Palestinian refugees died in unknown locations during the first half of 2019, including 19 Palestinians who were tortured to death in unknown prisons. Ten Palestinians were pronounced dead in AlNeirab refugee camp, in Aleppo.
As for the leading causes of death, fatal torture in jail took away the lives of 19 refugees. 13 Palestinians died under shelling and another ten in mortar attacks targeting AlNeirab Camp in May 2019.
