Displaced Palestinian families from Syria in and around Beirut city have denounced the deteriorating human situation they have been going through due to their lack of access to the local labor market and the reluctance maintained by relief institutions regarding their unending cries for help.
Speaking with AGPS, a Palestinian refugee from Syria Palestinian families from Syria have been deprived of much-needed aids for months, adding that during the holy occasion of Eid Al-Adhha (Feast of the Sacrifice) several displaced Palestinian families in the refugee camps of Burj AlBarjaneh, Shatila, Mar Elias, and other zones in Beirut were deprived of meat portions distributed by charities in the area.
The refugee added that a relief officer told him that Palestinian refugees from Syria come at the bottom of the distribution list.
Over 20,000 Palestinians from Syria have sought refuge in Lebanon, where they have been enduring exacerbated living conditions and subjected to a precarious legal status.
