58-year-old Palestinian refugee Mahmoud Rafe’, from AlNeirab Camp in Aleppo, north of Syria was released following seven months in jail.
Pro-government militias kidnapped Mahmoud on January 2, 2019. His family held the Liwaa AlQuds battalion, affiliated with the Syrian government, responsible for the abduction.
The captive is the father of Samer Rafe’, the commander of Liwaa AlQuds who has been detained over charges of corruption and arms sales.
