Palestinians in Syria’s AlNeirab Camp Grappling With Sanitation Crisis

Residents of AlNeirab Camp for Palestine refugees in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo have launched cries for help over poor sanitation networks and improper sewage disposal.

The residents slammed the concerned authorities for dragging their feet over their appeals for help, saying floods of waste water continue to swamp residential alleyways in and around the local pharmacy.

Water shortage and poor sanitation combine to create ripe conditions for the transmission of life-threatening viruses and vector-borne diseases in the area.

Palestinian refugee families taking shelter in AlNeirab Camp continue to sound distress signals over the high rates of unemployment, water and power outages, along with the absence of healthcare services and vital medicines.
