Palestinian poet and journalist from Syria Raed Wahsh, taking refuge in Berlin, has launched his first novel entitled Ice Year.
The novel narrates the dreams of an optimistic rural boy. The latter gets immersed into an imagined world of personal desires which took him back to the universe of a primitive adventurer wondering between the woods and caves in the hunt for food and security.
Born in Damascus in 1981, Raed Wahsh fled to Germany, where he has been working as a writer and journalist with news websites and newspapers. He has published several poetic works.
