A celebration held as part of Aleppo the 2019 Capital of Culture event paid tribute to the Palestinian poet and critic Adnan AlDerbi, living in Syria, along with other artists in Aleppo.
Born in 1945 and raised in Syria’s Handarat Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Aleppo, AlDerbi received several honorary awards for his outstanding literary output.
Dozens of displaced Palestinian refugees have achieved success stories in the scientific, literary, and socio-cultural fields, despite of the traumatic upshots wrought by daily scenes of bloodshed and destruction across the embattled Syrian territories.
