Palestinian Refugee Secretly Detained in Syria since 2012

Along the same line, Palestinian refugee Mohamed Kasem Mutleb has been locked up in Syrian state prisons for the sixth consecutive year.

Mohamed, in his 50s of age, was arrested on January 1, 2013 by Syrian security forces at a checkpoint in AlHusainiya, in Rif Dimashq.

His family continues to appeal for information about his condition and whereabouts.  He is a native of Tirat Haifa, in Palestinian territories occupied by Israel in 1948 (present-day Israel).

According to AGPS data, 1,768 Palestinians, including 108 women, are incarcerated in Syrian regime jails. More than 500 Palestinian refugees were, meanwhile, tortured to death in those penal complexes
