Palestinian Refugee Appeals for Information over Fate of  Forcibly-Disappeared Mother

The family of Palestinian refugee Shamsah Rashdan Mohamed Rashdan, aged 63, continues to appeal for information over the condition and whereabouts of their missing elderly relative along with her daughter Asia Mohamed Sa’id Kweider, 22.

The mother and her daughter have been secretly held in Syrian government prisons since April 23, 2013.

A daughter of Shamsah said her siblings, residents of Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees, were kidnapped from AlZahira neighborhood, in Old Damascus. Earlier reports said both were spotted in Palestine Branch 235.

Over 108 Palestinian women and girls have been secretly detained in Syria’s state-run penal complexes, among a total of 1,769 Palestinian prisoners identified by AGPS.
