Rights Group: Palestinian Refugees Most Affected by Lebanon Unrest

The Palestinian Association for Human Rights (Witness), based in Beirut, said the situation of Palestinian refugees from Syria (PRS) has sharply deteriorated due to the mass-unrest gripping the Lebanese territories.

“Witness” said that after eight years of conflict, PRS continue to struggle with dire humanitarian conditions and complex socio-economic and legal challenges amid a striking apathy by local and international relief institutions.

The rights group urged UNRWA and all other concerned bodies to adopt an emergency plan so as to manage the crisis before it is too late and respond to the unending cries for help launched by the displaced Palestinian families.
