The Palestinian Investor Union, in cooperation with the Palestinian community in Turkey, convened on Monday a meeting in Istanbul to discuss the situation of Palestinian refugees from Syria in Turkey.
The meeting underscored the economic hardship and legal hurdles faced by Palestinians from Syria in Turkey, including obstacles in obtaining the Turkish Kimlik visa card, gaining access to the local labor market, and receiving vital services, including education, healthcare, and housing.
Representatives of the Palestinian refugee community stressed the need to reach out to the Turkish authorities, the Palestine Embassy, and all other concerned parties to enhance the situation of Palestinian refugees in Istanbul and take all necessary measures to work out their legal situation.
