The Turkish migration authorities issued a decision, on February 7, 2020, to provide migrants seeking or having been granted international protection with health insurance for one year.
Health insurances will be only valid for one year for those aged 18 and above. Exceptions will be made for a number of special humanitarian cases.
Unofficial data indicates that 22,000 Palestinian refugees have sought shelter in Turkey, including 8,000 to 10,000 Palestinians who fled war-ravaged Syria.
