The Free Palestine Movement, affiliated with the Syrian government, announced the death of seven of its gunmen as they fought against opposition squads in the outskirts of the northern Syrian province of Idlib.
The victims are identified as: Anas Kanaa, Mahmoud AlHasan, Majed Weys, Mahmoud Kasas, Hasan AlAli, Amar Ghader, and Ihab Mohamed.
The so-called “Saraya Bader” group, the armed wing of the Free Palestine Movement, said it has been involved in pro-government battles in Syria in an attempt to held the Syrian government regain control over all corners of Idlib province.
Scores of Palestinian youths have been forced to join pro-government battalions in Syria. Those who refuse forced conscription are often subjected to manhunt and imprisonment. Thousands of young men have fled the country in the hunt for a safer shelter.
