Palestinian Family Appeals for Release of Forcibly Disappeared Son in Syria

The family of Palestinian refugees Laurence Mohamed Hosam Abu Madi and Palestinian activists have launched calls for disclosing Hosam’s condition and whereabouts.

The family said their relative was kidnapped by Syrian security forces from AlTadhamun neighborhood, south of Damascus.

According to activists, Hosam, nicknamed “Ward” and aged 30, was kidnapped on June 07, 2014 from Da’boul Street and was turned in to Syrian security forces in Nisreet Street.

His fate has been shrouded in mystery. No details have been identified regarding his current location and condition. His mother continues to appeal for information.

AGPS calls on the Syrian government to disclose the fate of hundreds of Palestinians forcibly disappeared in state-run dungeons.

AGPS believes that the arbitrary internment of Palestinian refugees in war-torn Syria amounts to a war crime.
