These initiatives, led by charitable organizations and volunteer teams, aim to alleviate the financial burdens on the most vulnerable families and strengthen social solidarity amidst the difficult economic conditions prevailing in the camps.<br \/>\nFood aid targeting the most needy families,<br \/>\nIn the town of Sabina in rural Damascus, the Palestine Charity Organization distributed 400 food baskets as part of an initiative called &#8220;Comforting Hearts,&#8221; targeting some of the most vulnerable groups in the local community, including families of orphans under the age of fifteen, cancer patients, and people with disabilities.<br \/>\nIn Handarat camp, north of Aleppo, the Sanam Al-Khair team distributed 80 ready-made meals to low-income families within the camp, with support from a benefactor. The meals were delivered to homes as part of support initiatives typically focused during the last ten days of Ramadan.<br \/>\nIn Al-Nayrab camp, a humanitarian initiative was also launched, distributing 30 meals of &#8220;Fatteh&#8221; (a traditional dish) to needy families. This initiative, supported by Syrian expatriates, was organized at a local restaurant to assist families affected by the difficult living conditions.<br \/>\nExtensive distribution of food aid in Damascus camps.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, in Damascus camps, the Human Solidarity for Development Association, in cooperation with the Turkish IHH organization and in coordination with community development committees in the camps, implemented a relief campaign that included the distribution of 1,900 date baskets to Palestinian refugees. The campaign distributed 1,500 date baskets in Sayyida Zeinab camp and its surrounding communities in rural Damascus, in addition to 400 date baskets in Al-Ramadan camp. This initiative aimed to support the most vulnerable families during Ramadan and alleviate their economic burdens.<br \/>\nCommunity initiatives to revive the Eid atmosphere:<br \/>\nIn Yarmouk camp in Damascus, a group of young Syrians and Palestinians launched a community initiative on Al-Ja&#8217;ouna Street called &#8220;Their Joy is My Eid.&#8221; The initiative aimed to bring joy to children and families as Eid al-Fitr approached and to revive the social atmosphere in one of the camp&#8217;s historic commercial streets, which was severely damaged during the years of conflict.<br \/>\nThe organizers indicated that the idea stemmed from the youth&#8217;s desire to play a community role that strengthens solidarity among the camp&#8217;s residents, emphasizing that the participation of young Syrians and Palestinians together reflects the social cohesion among the area&#8217;s inhabitants. Group activities to strengthen social bonds:<br \/>\nIn Handarat camp, the Palestinian Development Authority, in coordination with the Community Development Committee, organized a communal Iftar meal for the camp&#8217;s residents. This social event, which saw a large turnout of families, aimed to strengthen social bonds and revive the spirit of solidarity among residents during the holy month.<br \/>\nHuman Appeal also implemented a program to distribute non-food aid to various families residing in the camp. This aid included essential items such as blankets, mattresses, kitchen utensils, heaters, and other winter necessities, as part of a humanitarian response to support the daily needs of the residents.<br \/>\nPraise for thr efforts of volunteers and supporters:<br \/>\nIn Homs, the Department of Palestinian Arab Refugees commended the efforts of supporting organizations and volunteers during Ramadan, praising the initiatives of Al-Sibai Metal Construction Company and its owner, contractor Fares Al-Sibai, as well as the role of the Siraj Association and the Palestinian Charitable Society in providing financial and in-kind assistance to needy families.<br \/>\nIn a statement, the Department affirmed that these humanitarian initiatives, whether from within Syria or from expatriates abroad, contribute to strengthening the resilience of Palestinian and Syrian refugees amidst the economic and humanitarian challenges facing the camps.<br \/>\nThese activities are part of a series of charitable initiatives that increase during Ramadan in Palestinian camps in Syria, where a large segment of families rely on humanitarian and community aid to cope with deteriorating living conditions and the rising cost of living.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Syria \u2013 Action Group The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria, through its network of correspondents in several Palestinian camps and communities inside Syria, monitored the implementation of a series of humanitarian and community initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.
