It is believed that the remains belong to a family that died during the Syrian regime&#8217;s bombing of Eastern Ghouta in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>According to information obtained by the Action Group&#8217;s correspondent, the victims are believed to be a mother and her children who had taken refuge in the school&#8217;s basement to escape the bombing, before they disappeared during the military operations that the area witnessed at that time.<\/p>\n<p>The exact death toll remains unknown, though initial reports indicate that approximately nine people went missing during that period. The relevant authorities have been notified to complete legal procedures and work on identifying the remains.<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Ghouta witnessed one of the most brutal military campaigns launched by the Syrian regime in 2018, resulting in thousands of casualties and the displacement of large numbers of residents, in addition to widespread destruction of residential areas and public facilities.
