This move aims to facilitate access to the Commission&#8217;s services for families of missing persons and strengthen communication with it.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Commission, the currently operating centers are located in the governorates of Damascus, Rural Damascus, Daraa, Idlib, Aleppo, and Raqqa. Work is underway to open new centers in Deir ez-Zor, Latakia, Hama, and Hasakah. These centers will receive reports and information related to missing persons, provide available information to families, and offer psychological and legal support services.<\/p>\n<p>The commission explained that it has entered an advanced operational phase of its work, organizing seminars, awareness meetings, and field visits aimed at strengthening coordination with government institutions and civil society organizations. This contributes to developing mechanisms related to the missing persons file and enhancing cooperation among relevant parties.<\/p>\n<p>In the same vein, the commission called on media outlets to refrain from filming or publishing images of human remains, emphasizing that this aligns with the requirements of preserving the dignity of victims and the integrity of forensic evidence, and reinforces professional and ethical standards in covering this sensitive humanitarian issue.<\/p>\n<p>These steps come at a time when thousands of Syrian families, including Palestinian refugee families in Syria, are still waiting for reliable information about the fate of their missing relatives.
