Activists accused the Turkish military of violating international laws and norms to prohibit the deportation of anyone to a country where they would be at risk of serious human rights violations.
This comes a day after the Turkish army deported a group of Palestinian families to the Syrian territories under the pretext of entering the Turkish territory illegally, where they were detained for hours on the Turkish border, and then forced to return to Syria.
The rest of the detained families appealed the international and human rights organizations to intervene for not being deported to the Syrian territory for fear of arrest by the Syrian regime forces.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time for refugees to face violations at the hands of the Turkish army, while in many cases Turkish gendarmerie returned Palestinian refugees to Syria and shoot them.
