The Palestinian refugee “Ahmed Sabaa Abd-Alhafez” who emigrated from the Yarmok camp to Sweden won the International Stavanger Chess Championship in Sweden which took place in Stavanger City in Norway; Hafez got the title after beating many professional players.
It is noteworthy that many of the Syrian-Palestinian professionals, academics and the graduates of universities are trying to make their way in the Diaspora countries after fleeing the war in Syria, and as a result of bombardments and shelling on their camps whereas more than 71.2 thousand of Palestinian refugees arrived to Europe the last December and immigration is still on going.
