The Syrian government reportedly green-lighted the reconstruction of UNRWA’s schools and facilities in Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees.
In statements to Palestine TV Channel on October 15, member of Fatah’s Central Committee in Damascus Samir AlRefa’i said UNRWA will step in to reconstruct its structures and schools in Yarmouk.
Several UNRWA facilities were destroyed in the Syrian warfare and others have gone out of operation, including two clinics, a vocational training center, a youth development center, and 28 schools, out of 112 UNRWA schools in Syria.
