Turkey Arrests 250 Illegal Emigrants while Trying to Reach Europe, Including 53 Palestinian Syrian Refugees.

350 refugees were detained by the Turkish coast guards, including 53 Palestinian Syrian refugees while trying to reach Europe from Mersin overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The Coast Guard noted in a statement that it had foiled an attempt of illegal immigration in the district of Anamur, Mersin province, where 350 emigrants were arrested including women and children were trying to migrate to Europe from the Italian coast.
The Turkish coast guards managed to arrest the crew of the ship that was composed of 10 people, as they seized the ship and boat and transferred immigrants and crew to the leadership of the gendarmerie in the region.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish authorities had launched a campaign of mass arrests against human traffickers in western state of Izmir, on the back of hundreds of migrants who sank in the Mediterranean, where about “1000” illegal immigrants died including Palestinian and Syrian refugees.
