The multi-purpose community center in Al-Nairab camp, represented by the Family Reconciliation Office and in cooperation with the Intervention Department, organized a legal dialogue seminar on women’s rights under Syrian law. This initiative aimed to enhance women’s legal awareness and familiarize them with the rights and guarantees stipulated by Syrian legislation.
The seminar addressed the most prominent legal rights guaranteed to women, the legal mechanisms available for their protection, and discussed issues related to women’s roles within the family and society. A question-and-answer session was also held to address participants’ inquiries on a number of relevant legal matters.

The seminar was co-presented by researcher Sally Azzam and lawyer Sabriya Youssef, who reviewed the legal aspects related to women’s rights and provided explanations and clarifications regarding several legal texts. The session saw active participation from the attendees.
This event was organized as part of the awareness-raising activities implemented by the community center in Al-Nairab camp, the second largest Palestinian refugee camp in Syria. The center aims to promote legal literacy and support women’s access to information about their rights, thereby contributing to the expansion of legal knowledge within the local community.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the community center emphasized the importance of continuing to organize legal and awareness-raising activities that contribute to disseminating legal awareness and strengthening community participation. The center also expressed its gratitude to the two presenters for their contributions to the event’s success.
