Action Group – Damascus
The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria held a periodic meeting for its correspondents at its headquarters in Damascus. The meeting focused on developing the group’s operational mechanisms, aiming to strengthen its role as a conduit for the voices of Palestinians inside and outside Syria, highlighting their daily suffering and aspirations, and documenting and monitoring field events and daily developments related to the Palestinian situation in Syria.
Participants discussed ways to modernize field communication mechanisms and develop monitoring and documentation tools to ensure the Palestinian narrative reaches local and international public opinion forcefully and transparently, and to prioritize the issues of camps and communities.
They emphasized that this development is a response to the demands of the current situation and a commitment to the group’s leading role in monitoring the concerns of Palestinians in Syria, defending their rights, and conveying their voice to the world, the international community, and decision-making bodies. The focus will be on improving the efficiency of field operations and enhancing coordination mechanisms among correspondents to ensure a rapid response to the changing realities on the ground.
