Action Group – Yarmouk Camp
The mother of Hiba Muwad, a young Palestinian woman from the Yarmouk refugee camp south of Damascus, appealed to the Syrian Presidency, demanding a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death. Her daughter’s death has raised widespread questions within the camp and among her family.
In her letter, the mother emphasized that many questions still surround the case, expressing her concern about the ambiguity surrounding the investigation and the procedures taken so far. She stressed the necessity of uncovering the truth and holding accountable all those found to be involved in the incident.
The mother called on the relevant authorities to ensure a fair and independent investigation that will reveal all the circumstances and bring justice to her daughter and her family, asserting that achieving justice is a fundamental right of the victim and her relatives.
