Lebanon. Palestinians from Syria continue their protests against the reduction of UNRWA services.

Lebanon – The Action Group

The Action group  reports that Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria to Lebanon continued their protests against their deteriorating living conditions and the decline in services provided by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). They held a sit-in on Thursday morning, November 6, 2025, in front of the office of the director of the Mar Elias camp in Beirut.

The protesters submitted a memorandum of demands to the camp administration, which included complaints regarding delays in cash assistance payments, inadequate health and education services, and the lack of a clear plan to address the escalating crises they face.

This action coincided with a similar protest in the Beddawi camp in northern Lebanon, as part of a unified movement encompassing several Palestinian refugee communities from Syria across Lebanon.

Participants explained that the refugees are demanding improved living conditions and higher levels of services, emphasizing that many families are living below the poverty line and suffering from food insecurity due to the decline in humanitarian aid.
