Since late 2012, the mother of Ahmed Majed al-Khatib has been appealing to anyone with information that might help uncover his fate to come forward, as his whereabouts remain unknown for years.
In a statement addressed to the public, the mother explained that her son disappeared after being detained at a checkpoint in the Khan al-Shih area of rural Damascus by an unidentified party.
She stated that she has received no information about him since then.
She added that she has been living in a state of uncertainty for years, saying she doesn’t know if he is still alive or not.
She emphasized that her primary goal is to learn his fate after this long absence.
The mother urged anyone with any information, however limited, to contact her through the channels that will be announced later, hoping to find any clue that might help clarify her son’s fate.
