Action Group – Damascus
On Saturday, the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp witnessed a community event honoring 60 outstanding students. This initiative, launched by several camp residents, aims to support education and encourage students to pursue academic excellence.
Representatives from various local and development organizations participated, including the “Doctors 1995” charity, the “I’dad” Foundation for Community Development, and the “Al-Shahabi” Foundation for Education and Empowerment. Also present were the organizers of the Yarmouk initiative, religious figures, community leaders, and the students’ families.
The organizers explained that the recognition is part of a broader community effort to promote a culture of academic excellence, support students, and encourage initiatives that contribute to the development of the local community. They emphasized the importance of cooperation among different institutions and organizations to serve the camp’s residents.
The initiative is part of a series of community activities and projects aimed at supporting the education sector and promoting social cohesion in Yarmouk camp, by encouraging outstanding students and highlighting success stories among the camp’s residents.
